Door Step School (DSS) - Maharashtra
Door Step School provides education to construction workers’ children through’ Balwadi, NFE classes & Study classes at Pune. They work with the age group of 0 to 14 on developing basic academic foundation and making children school ready. The children are later enrolled into the government schools and mainstreamed into formal education system. Vibha ventured with DSS since 2006. Till date more than 56,000 children have been impacted from 576 construction sites.
Eklavya - Madhya Pradesh
Eklavya project is a Government school strengthening initiative at Shahpur Block, Betul District, Madhya Pradesh. Through Siksha Protsahan Kendras they work to improve the quality of education and learning levels of children in the age group of 6-10 years. Training is imparted to the government school teachers to make them more effective in their work by using innovative teaching learning technology. Vibha and Eklavya Foundation worked as partners from 2014, as on today they have made a difference to 2062 children in 30 government schools and 945 children 27 Shiksha Protsahan Kendras.
Saath - Gujarat
Saath works with the children of laborers and children of construction workers. Through Child Friendly Spaces (CFS) to provide, 5 hours of an informal education with health and nutrition support at Ahmadabad Gujarat. Vibha has ventured with Saath since 2014. So far Saath has impacted total 800 children by providing them meaningful childhood and quality education.
Alamb - Delhi
Alamb works towards empowering of the adolescents especially girls through vocational training in the slums of West Delhi. The project aims to equip the adolescent girls with skills which will enable them to improve their economic and social situation and make them self dependent. Vibha has been working with Alamb since 2008; they have impacted around 3000 youth since inception of the program.
Apna School - Uttar Pradesh
Apna Skool runs centres for the children of migrant labor of the numerous brick kilns in the surrounding areas of Kanpur city. They have four months of community classes for the children in their villages during monsoon when majority of the labor returns to their villages. Vibha is in partnership with Apna Skool since 2015. There outreach is over 200 children from migrant families.
Rajasthan Mahila Kalyan Mandal (RMKM)
RMKM reaches out to vulnerable children with disabilities, who are not able reach institutional centres for educational & therapeutic intervention. They conduct early intervention for the detection of the disability in children through counseling and facilitation, home based rehabilitative services, day care centres and school and vocational training for elder children. Total 3000 + children have been impacted in urban Ajmer, Rajasthan.
Swarnivar - West Bengal
Swarnirvar works towards improving of education in the government primary schools through intensive teachers engagement and children’s participation. They collaborate with the government departments & school authorities to ensure improvement of the school systems. Vibha has ventured with this project since 2007 and it has impacted 12000 children.
Janmadhyam - Delhi
Janmadhyam conducts life skill education program for girls/boys with disability, poor and socially marginalized. They provide open environment to each individual student to help them develop positive attitude and remove barriers that exclude them from mainstream. Home based interventions for children unable them to come to the centres. Vibha is been working with Janamadhyam since 2012, and so far it has impacted 12,000 children through working with communities and municipal schools in urban Delhi.
Rural Development Organization-Tamil Nadu
Rural Development Organization, provides children aged 3 to 6 with necessary preparation for Primary schooling .This includes physical, cognitive, emotional, and psychosocial development. Vibha ventured with RDO as Balwadies is not accessible to all children. The programme focuses on integrating early childhood education with the Right to Education Act to ensure a smooth transition into formal schooling. Since 2007,till date 2660 children have been impacted in ten villages where there no government balwadies.
SEA -Tamil Nadu
SEA a community based organization works with children of fisherman and saltpan workers Since 2005 SEA has been associated with VIBHA and has been enrolling school dropout children back to the mainstream education, through Non Residential Bridge Course. So far they have helped 520 drop out children pass their board exam and continue to pursue their higher Education.Today SEA had deployed adequate teachers in Government highschools in their area of operation to reduce drop outs.
Bhagavatula Charitable Trust - Andhra Pradesh
Bhagavatula Charitable Trust is working towards transformation of villages since 1976 in Visakhapatnam district, Andhra Pradesh through its integrated rural development programs. In 2006 BCT in collaboration with VIBHA started seven tribal schools in villages where there are no government schools. These schools were being run so that the tribal children without any access to school are given education up to standard 3 so that they can join the Ashram Schools run by the state government in the region. It was observed that children who undergo this BCT education methodology in grade 3 is in par with children in grade 5in Government schools.In the last two years the above intervention takes place in thirty primary Government schools.
Sikshana - Karnataka
Sikshana is a grassroots effort at improving learning levels in public schools. Sikshana Foundation operates with the core principle of developing scalable, replicable and sustainable models in the educational ecosystem primarily focussed towards rural Government Schools. The uniqueness of Prerana has been to enable children develop interest in learning through a unique focus on student motivation as a means to deeper student engagement. Vibha had ventured with Sikshana since2006. In the first two years of partnership, Vibha helped Sikshana expand from 15 schools to 130 schools. Vibha supported Sikshana’s efforts to experiment different strategies to optimize the model. As a result “Prerana” is implemented in all the 43,897 Government Primary schools in Karnataka thus impacting 22,96,139 students across the state.
